You can only do so much with Milkshape or Blender’s decimate functions. I don’t think the people who convert amateur-made high poly meshes to the Sims 2 should get shit on for those meshes being heavy, unoptimized, or maladapted to an old rendering engine. Creating 3d models that are simultaneously beautiful, detailed, well optimized and reasonable in their polycounts takes knowledge, time and specific tools.
